Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
So who here plays Pokemon X/Y? I have Y myself.

I also have Y. Have you picked up the new Vivillion from the event?

I've got X. Unfortunately haven't played it in awhile because I do most of my battling on a simulator (Pokémon Showdown). Gen six is great though.
Can we make this topic about Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire too? I'm so pumped for these games. I really loved third gen. The new megas look pretty sweet!
I'm definitely going for Sceptile.

I use Showdown sometimes but I haven't in awhile. And I don't see why not. This will be Pokemon in General. I like "Jacked" Mega Swampert lol

Not sure if you guys know yet, but Corocoro has revealed Mega Metagross. From Serebii.net
Not sure if it changes type and/or new ability or anything since nothing else was said.

Super fighting robot! MetaGross! all jokes aside that looks badass
Re: Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
Hahaha. Yeah, that thing looks awesome! As far as I can tell, the main differences are that this thing maybe flies or at least it's not as grounded as the original (which usually has all of its legs firmly planted on the ground) and that it has a giant spike coming out of its face. Like, I think it's coming directly out of its mouth. Strange but intriguing.
Edit: I'm curious now, what do you guys think of mega evolution? What are your favorite megas?
I was really skeptical at first but I'm actually digging the mechanic of mega evolution. It's not as broken as people thought, and it's really cool to see some old favorites refreshed. As for specific megas, I'm really digging mega Sceptile and Ampharos. I think those are my favorites.

I actually was skeptical at first myself, but now I like it. As for my favorite Mega... This one~
That's my Mega Gardevoir from ingame too~
My 2nd Favorite Mega would be Mega Banette.

Oh yeah I like the the look of Mega Banette. I guess I've never quite understood what's going on with Mega Gardevoir. Isn't her dress just a little wider? That is a sick shiny Mega Gardevoir though.

Yeah I got that Shiny Gardevoir after *three* eggs... I was SO excited lol. Perfect IVs everywhere EXCEPT Special attack... It was much faster than my Shiny Litwick though, which took me 717 eggs... Yeah I counted them lol.

Not sure if you have heard of this "Rumor" I guess you can call it. But there is rumor about some more Mega Evolutions. Ludicolo and Shiftry are two of them.
And there is also a "leaked" image supposedly about some other Megas. Here's the image.

Whoa, a shiny after three eggs. I am jealous! Video was interesting, and sounds like it was made before they officially revealed Sceptile and Swampert so that gives it more legitimacy.

Re: Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
This video was just released earlier today and it showcases all of the gym leaders as well as secret bases and Mega Metagross. It makes it clear that the spike is not coming out of it's actual mouth, it's just an overgrown facial hair or something. It apparently has the ability Tough Claws and "... also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def". If I had to guess, I'd say it's +60 speed and +10 everything else, which would make it a powerhouse indeed.
In other news, Diancie was released yesterday in Japan and Mega Diancie is known to have Magic Bounce and "... receives a big boost to its Speed, as well as boosts to its Attack and Sp. Atk, while experiencing a reduction in its Defense and Sp. Def." Sounds like a real monster to deal with.

Re: Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
Yeah, it's gonna be a men(a)ce. Especially since since it has intimidate prior to mega evolving and increased defenses. It's gonna be a scary setup sweeper. Finally he gets a real fucking flying STAB.
Scrappy Mega Lopunny has literally perfect coverage with two moves which I think is unheard of. Design-wise it's kind of lame but it'll be interesting.
I fucking love Altaria so I'm pumped as shit for its mega. First Dragon which doesn't give two shits about Dragon moves. It has a really good defensive typing with resists to Fire, Water, Grass, Fighting, Dark, Bug, and an immunity to Dragon. It's been pointed out that it'll counter MegaZard X with its immunity to Dragon and resistance to Fire.

Re: Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
I have Pokemon Y.
I've hatched a shiny Greninja and Rotom. The Greninja was unfortunately not Protean like 95% of the other 300+ eggs I hatched. Rotom was hatched in less than 20. Neither are really exceptional in stats, but I use them anyway.

Re: Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
Oh my gooood mega slowbro
I shit you not.It has boosted Defense and Special Attack. Energy was focused in the Shellder biting Slowbro's tail, and the result was that the hardness of the shell increased and it became an immensely hard suit of armor that can be damaged by no one. When the battle begins Mega Slowbro uses its tail to stand up straight and it propels itself like a spring.

It loses regenerator for shitty shell armor and slowking has a better movepool.

Re: Pokemon (X/Y, OR/AS, and Pokemon in General)
MegaBro (MegaShellder?) isn't gonna be totally useless. Losing Regenerator sucks, but he gets Slack Off and retains Regen prior to mega evolving, which means he can act as a sort of pivot early in the match and an unbelievably fucking bulky Calm Minder that's pretty strong (SpAtk increases in mega form), immune to crits, and has reliable recovery (and no longer gives any shits about Knock Off) late game. I dunno, I'll take it.

Yes. Awesome breed!
Edit: Anyone else think it's weird that Mega Bro's not a Rock-type or something? It's mostly shell.
